What should the Attendance Policy in High schools be so that it is more effective?
Our current attendance policy in my high school is if you get more than 10 absences or 15 lates, you get kicked out of the class... Now usually even if you go over the limit, they don't even bother to kick you out of the class, for whatever reason. They are talking about changing the attendance policy so that it is more effective. Any ideas on how they can change the attendance policy so that its more effective on getting kids to go to class?

- Most kids who skip class don't want to be there anyway. If they just kick them out of class it wont help. They should be punished with even more school in order to make up the time missed. They should be held a hour after school and/or on Saturdays, they should be held all day. Parents or the county should be involved if it continues. Getting kicked out of class is a privilege/reward to these children.
