Is the Houston Chronicle showing it's Democrat bias and lack of journalistic integrity by it's attack on Perry?

The Houston Chronicle has been attacking Republican Governor of Texas Rick Perry for months. It has assigned reporters like RICK CASEY who loves the tongue in cheek approach to his hit jobs. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/casey/7047150.html http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/casey/7015265.html Then you have Lisa Falkenberg whose articles on her experiences on being a new mother far out shine any other work she has done, but always has time for a hit piece on Republicans and her favorite target Rick Perry. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/falkenberg/7045164.html Today's article was about how Republicans are flocking to Democrat Bill White voting for a Democrat for the first time ever in some cases. The article tries to exploit the now buried bitterness of the Republican Primary in which Senator Hutchinson lost to Rick Perry. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/7059718.html The only problem is that the polls show no such thing. Rasmussen poll released today June 18th shows Perry beating White by 8 points - 48 to 40. Texas votes break around 60/40 in favor of Republicans. All statewide elected offices are held by Republicans. Even run of the mill articles on other subjects always make sure they get their punch and kicking in on Gov Rick Perry. Now the current facts are these - White is in the midst of a scandal involving his days as Mayor of Houston and profiteering from that position by giving out a multimillion dollar contract on his authority alone in wake of Hurricane IKE to BTCE then turning around shortly afterward and investing $1 million reaping a one year return of 52% on his investment. Whatever momentum the Democrats thought they had has now stalled. The question is about the Houston Chronicle and their unrelenting war on Governor Rick Perry - my question is 1 are they showing a bias for Democrats and 2 have they lost any shred of journalistic integrity? Rick Perry may not have the charisma or other wow factor - which is not the question - but it is the fact that Houston Chronicle has decided it is going after Perry no matter what and even if his challenger Democrat Bill White has been caught in the cookie jar profiteering from his time as Mayor of Houston - not a bad work about him yet.

1. They are trying to prevent us ever having another President from Texas.
2. Perry deserves every attack he recieves - he's an idiot.
3. Ok as a Houstonian i know that the Houston Chronicle has never been one to show right wing idea/people in a good light. This should be apparent. Also As an Aggie i like Rick Perry. But we both know that Rick Perry is an amazing politician, but not the best in a leadership-problem solving position.
4. Sure, politicians should never be criticized by newspapers.
5. For once, at least, journalists are not as naive about the Texas Henchman err Governor Perry as the gullible Texas voters... And Perry claimed the spill in the Gulf of Mexico was, " an Act of God..."??? Rick Perry must carry a lot of carpet bags to get campaign contributions--perhaps from BP, too... The closest flakes in Texas to Bush II are Rick Perry and Joe Barton...
6. NO they are part of elite media but the problem is Houston, Texas is the most Conservative Major US City in the country surprise NBC Channel 2 and CBS Channel 11 are not network Owned and Operated, ABC Channel 13 and FOX Channel 26 are though because NBC, CBS and CNN are more left leaning then ABC or FOX the Houston chronicle as Left Leaning as NBC, MSNBC, CBS and CNN, so maybe Houston Residents don't get them as a real news outlets because like I said they are Conservatives and Libertarians.
